Information for Exhibitors

Facts!

The Teen Culture revolution is growing at an almost frightening rate. Teenagers today have higher expendable dollars than any of their prior generations, and the growth of communications between Internet, Social Media, SMS & Mobile Telecommunications has created a generation of savvy, well-informed consumers.

Although being a serious market with ready cashflow, the teen market is traditionally and notoriously difficult to penetrate. Marketing to this demographic has always been, and continues to be, harder than all others.

>A proven way to access the confidence of such a market is through popular music & entertainment.

TeenFest & Formal Show, in association with DreamTour is precisely the event to answer this call. We will create an all-day teen culture festival comprising not just one, or even some, but ALL of the popular methods of capturing, and maintaining, the attention and face to face engagement of teen consumers.

One of the most prevalent aspects of any teenagers life is "The Formal". Formals take place now in 3 separate years of a high school teen's journey, NOT including those additional formals they will be invited to as guests of friends. This is why one of the most active and aggressive aspects of the Expo part of TeenFest is dedicated to Formals.

School Formals

>Hundreds and Hundreds of High School Formals will take place in every capital city this year

>Hundreds of thousands of teenage consumers will attend them

>They’ll spend over $3 Billion in the process

>Most Year 12 Students ranked the Formal as more important than H.S.C.

>This is the most emotionally significant event in their lives up to this point

>They’re sparing no expense!

>The School Formal is no longer an event, it’s now an industry.

>There’s a demand, and we’re meeting it.

The Right Time

§

Once formals are booked early in the year (Feb to June) attention falls to the items that are important to the individual formal attendees.

This includes things like what to wear, how to look, how to smell, how to get there, what to take and what keepsakes to retain.

To engage them at the end of school term 3 ensures maximum conversions with the least effort.

Those that have products to sell will do particularly well at this time of year when Formal peak season is just about to kick off in November.

Those that are on organising committees will be starting to make plans to book the following seasons Formals in September so if you have products and services associated with the Formal event itself, such as venues, entertainment, decoration, catering, security and so on, this is the perfect time to lay some tracks into next year's sales.
